Recommendations:

Grind the ingredients into powder and cook in 2 large portions of water until the amount is reduced to 1 serving. Take warm filtered broth in between meals. Currently, this formula can be prepared as a decoction using the doses indicated in parentheses. It can also be prepared in the form of pills, which are taken in the amount of 10-15 g of pills 2-3 times a day with warm boiled water or ginger soup.

Action from the point of view of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM):

  1. Tones the Medium Heater and Benefits Qi.
  2. Makes Yang Qi rise and raises lowered organs.

Clinical manifestations:

  1. Deficiency of Qi of the Stomach and Spleen: a feeling of warmth in the body, spontaneous sweating, thirst with a preference for warm drinks, shortness of breath, reluctance to talk, fatigue, weakness of the limbs, pale complexion, weak stools, pale tongue with a thin white coating and undulating weak pulse.
  2. Qi deficiency with organ prolapse: prolapse of the rectum or uterus, chronic diarrhea or dysentery, ben low (uterine bleeding and dripping), conditions characterized by the inability of Yang Qi to ascend.

Explanation:

The stomach and spleen, which are responsible for the transformation and transportation of food, are the source of the production of Qi and Blood. When these two organs are in short supply and cannot perform their normal functions normally, fatigue, weakness of the limbs, shortness of breath occur, the desire to talk decreases, the face and tongue become pale. Due to the deficiency of Qi, pure Yang cannot move upwards, which leads to weak stools, diarrhea and dysentery.

In severe cases of deficiency of the Stomach and Spleen, Yang Qi becomes unable to hold the organs in their usual places, which leads to the omission of internal organs such as the stomach, uterus and rectum. In the future, as the Yang Qi, unable to rise upwards, sinks into Yin, this leads to a feeling of heat, spontaneous sweating and an undulating weak pulse. Thirst is the result of a deficiency of Qi, unable to transport fluids to the upper body. Thirst with a preference for warm drinks is a sign of deficiency, which distinguishes this condition from thirst caused by fever. Chi power capsule Decoction, tonic Center and enriching Qi contains Astragalus Root (Huan Qi) as the main component, as it tones Zhong (Central) Qi and causes a rise in Yang Qi. It also strengthens Wei (Protective) Qi and protects the Outer. Ginseng Root (Ren Shen), Atractylodes Root (Bai Zhu) and Licorice Root Roasted in Honey (Zhi Gan Cao) strengthen the Spleen, have a beneficial effect on Qi and tone the Medium Heater. The root of angelica  (Dang Gui) tones the Blood and increases the production of Qi. The peel of the mandarin (Chen Pi) regulates Qi and harmonizes the Stomach. They also interfere with the ability of tonic herbs to create stagnation in the Middle Heater. The root of the wolf (Chai Hu) and the rhizome of the cimicifuga (Sheng Ma) cause the movement of Yang-Qi upwards and raise the lowered organs.

Cautions/Contraindications:

Chi power capsule is contraindicated for patients with Yin deficiency or internal Heat.

– As a general rule, the dose of this formula should be small. This formula contains sweet and warm tonic plants, the nature of which is characterized by heaviness and immobility. Thus, a large dose of the preparation of this formula may actually nullify the intention of causing the rise of Yang Qi. As for the individual ingredients, it is important that the dose of Astragalus Root (Huan Qi) is at a high level for toning Qi, and the dose of Chai Hu Root and Sheng Ma rhizomes should be just enough to raise Yang Qi.

Toxicity:

In an acute experiment on the study of toxicity in mice subjected to oral administration of the drug formula at a dose of 166 g / kg twice a day for 3 days, no abnormal reactions were detected.
